Written by: David Ehrman Carmen decides to help herself to businessman Malcolm Avalon's sculpture collection. In his mansion, Carmen sees a painting of a woman whose picture she has in a gold locket. Carmen is an orphan who has no memory of her parents. She escapes and does a little research on Avalon, stealing every book and document beginning with the letter "A" from the Library of Congress. Carmen confronts Avalon and asks him what happened to his family. While on a business trip to San Francisco, a fire broke out at the hotel his wife and baby daughter were inside. Carmen tells him that she could be his daughter. Avalon doesn't believe her because his little girl would never have grown up to become a thief. A torn Carmen lets herself be caught by Zack and Ivy while a recently escaped Lee Jordan plots revenge.
I loooved this one! The wonderful storyline...the Carmen angst! It's better than a soap opera. I know of three little letters that could solve their little dilemma. D.N.A.!
